Monday

Montreal Stairways, Canada

Steps leading to apartments in Montreal sent by Karine.

The back of the card says, "Les escaliers de Montreal / Montreal Stairways" "Rue St-Hubert en automne/St. Hubert Street in Autumn.  Thank you Karine.

Saturday

Jetoy

A great Jetoy card for my collection from Karli in Canada.

Thursday

James Jean - Trike

At first I thought this was an Anime card but I didn't recognise which one.  On the back it just says XOXO so I did a bit of digging (I LOVE Google) and came up with the following =

It's not an anime but is the artwork of James Jean from a postcard book series called XOXO.  This one from the 'Hugs and Kisses' set and is called Trike.

Monday

Ladybird

A cute ladybird postcard from Caroline in Canada.  Fantastic unfranked Titanic stamp too, from the anniversary of it's demise.  1912-2012

Saturday

Canadian Rockies, UNESCO

They say Mounties always get their man and this fellow looks like the sort to get the job done fast.

Thank you Rob in Canada for my UNESCO site Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks.

Monday

Niagara falls

A very pretty card showing Niagara Falls, Canada.  I'm wondering if those lights are actually there in real life or if they've been added at the printing stage with photoshop or something.  Either way, very pretty.  Sent from Canada by Olga who is actually from Russia but holidaying in Toronto.

Thursday

Nigara Falls

Reg from New York sent me this Niagara Falls card.  It shows the 'Maid of the Mist' tour boat approaching the Majestic Canadian 'Horseshoe Falls'

Must be spectacular to see in person.

Saturday

Piping Plover

Piping Plover, Nova Scotia. Roughly forty pairs nest on coastal beaches of the North and South shores of Nova Scotia. If a nest is too closely approached the parents may make a broken wing display.

Thanks Marian!
