Saturday

Illinois, Northern Cardinal.

A very lovely card from Diane in America.  Illinois Wildlife with a picture of a cheery Northern Cardinal.  Great stamps too and the little racoon sticker is too cute.  He looks black in the scan but is actually gold.  A great card to add to my US State Card Collection.

Friday

Birds, New Zealand, multiiew

Marvelous bird multiview card from Lee in New Zealand. Cute little seal stamp too and one showing Maori rock art. Thanks Lee.

Osprey bird, Belarus

Beautiful Fauna of Belarus card showing an Osprey in flight, from Tatiana in Belarus.

Saturday

Collard Dove

Lovely card of a collared dove, part of the Fauna of Belarus card series comes from Lucia.  We have a couple of these birds visit our garden most days but they're really skinny things compared to the one on this card!

Bird, Fruit and Fly

Dasha sent this great card from Ukaraine but I don't know who the artist is as it's written in Russian (I think).  Not sure what kind of bird this is but I think the fly is just a regular common fly ;P

Monday

Duckling

I'm not sure if this is a duckling or a gosling but either way it's very cute.  I wonder if it's running towards something or running away from something.

Thanks Fenja and Gudrun

Sunday

Bird

Thanks to Outi in Finland for this lovely card.  The back tells me that this is a Red Beaked Tern. That white bit in front of the bird isn't part of the card, it's just the sorting machines at the post office here scrape off a little of the card sometimes...Usually the cards that mean the most to me or the one's where it shows up really obvious against the background. Grrrr.

Bird

Tineke in Australia sends me this lovely card of a Kookaburrah (I think...and I don't know how to spell it either :D ) Sillouhetted at sunset.

Saturday

Piping Plover

Piping Plover, Nova Scotia. Roughly forty pairs nest on coastal beaches of the North and South shores of Nova Scotia. If a nest is too closely approached the parents may make a broken wing display.

Thanks Marian!
