Ginger Haired Lady, Art Card, Russia

An art card from Russia.  I'm not sure who the artist is but she's on Instagram, the back says.  With hair like that the lady could be Scottish!  Cute shaped Beekeeper collecting honey stamp too.  Thank you Dasha

Sunday

UNESCO Taos Pueblo, New Mexico. USA

A wonderful card for the New Mexico UNESCO site 'Taos Pueblo'. I'm so sad that it not only has suffered terrible treatment in the form of 'The Fold' from the 'Horrible Ex-Postman' but it has also been afflicted in several place by the White Scuff of Doom that the postal machines dish out.  Why is it always the special cards that fare the worst.  I'm still happy to have this card though and it has a place in my collection.   Thank you Carol in the USA.

Spring in Holland, The Netherlands

A very cheery 'Spring in Holland' card, complete with Windmill and Tulips.  Great stamps too!  Thank you Tanya in the Netherlands.

Friday

UNESCO - Komodo National Park, Indonesia

Unesco for an Indonesian site - The Komodo National Park was sent by Mari as part of a priate forum swap.  Pity the white scuff of doom ruins the picture.

Thursday

Anne Taintor, USA

Another great card for my Anne Taintor collection from Tanya in the USA gentleman has been kissed?!

Anne Taintor, USA

A great card for my Anne Taintor collection.  Thanks Tanya!

Buckeye Candy Recipe, Ohio, USA

Another one for my recipe card collection.  This time it's Ohio Buckeye candy.  Will add it to my to-try list for sure as they sound yummy.  Thanks Tanya!

Sunday

UNESCO - La Sainte Chapelle, Paris, France

Another UNESCO card that I almost missed.  I thought it was just a great card showing inside of La Sainte Chapelle in Paris but when I googled it I find that it's included in the site 'Paris Banks of the Seine' and there is a photo of the inside (like my postcard) on the UNESCO page.  Wonderful card sent from Chleo, it's just a shame that the post office machine made a white-scuff-of-doom right in the center.

Saturday

Ranua Zoo

Great card showing some of the animals at Ranua Zoo which was sent by Minna from Finland.  She tells me it is the Arctic zoo of Lapland and Wiki tells me it's the Northermost zoo in the world.

Thursday

Cartoon rabbit

Not sure what this says as there's no translation but it looks like a kickass bunny.  Cute bunny stamp too from Eero in Finland.

Sunday

Whale

A very nice hump backed whale card from a postcrosser in Germany.  Great stamps too.

Just a pity the post office sorting machine has left that horrible white scuff right in the middle.

Bird

Thanks to Outi in Finland for this lovely card.  The back tells me that this is a Red Beaked Tern. That white bit in front of the bird isn't part of the card, it's just the sorting machines at the post office here scrape off a little of the card sometimes...Usually the cards that mean the most to me or the one's where it shows up really obvious against the background. Grrrr.

Thursday

Sepia bike

Nice sepia effect bike card sent to me by famalubel in Spain.

Unfortunately it's been blighted by the white-scuff-of-doom that the post office machines dish out :(

Tuesday

Seahorse

A lovely seahorse card from Manuel in Portugal.  He tells me that the card was issued by the D Carlos Aquarium in Lisbon.

Cat Dog

Another pretty card spoiled by 'the white scuff of doom'.  Received from a postcrosser in Finland.
