A very lovely card from Diane in America.  Illinois Wildlife with a picture of a cheery Northern Cardinal.  Great stamps too and the little racoon sticker is too cute.  He looks black in the scan but is actually gold.  A great card to add to my US State Card Collection.

Texas, USA - State Card Collection

One for my USA State/City/Flag/Map card collection.  This time Texas - also known as The Lonestar State - which was sent by Marg. Since there's a little photo of the Alamo on this multiview card I could count it as one for my UNESCO collection too, but I'm sure there are plenty more Alamo postcards out there so I'll wait to get one of those and keep this for my US State collection.

A great one for my State/City Name Card Collection.

"By shooting large numbers of buffalo on the Great Plains, white hunters not only depleted the Indians primary source of food but nearly extinguished the buffalo from Oklahoma.  By 1885 millions of the animals had been killed, with just 200 left to graze the priairies."
